Schmidt Performance is a Southern California based business, owned and operated by David Schmidt and Rob Wexler. David has been riding motorcycles since 1975, he started racing in 1986. In 1990, David's father opened a motorcycle repair shop for him to help pay for his racing. In 1994 David turned Pro and closed the shop.

Due to an injury, he quit racing and started working for Noleen Racing. In the summer of 1998, Noleen went through some ownership changes and laid everyone off. People liked his work and asked him to continue tuning their suspension. That is how Schmidt Performance got started. Dave currently races in the vet pro class.

In 2003, David found his now partner, Rob Wexler and they opened a new shop. Rob also grew up racing motocross, he took a break and road raced professionally (2 yrs), raced stand up watercraft (7 yrs). He came back to motocross in 97. Rob currently races in the vet int. and mid size mod classes; he also rides off road, atv, and sportbike for Kawasaki, commercials and brochures.

Both Dave and Rob ride constantly, testing and reevaluating, as well as working with their riders. Dave personally sets up the valving for every set of suspension that comes in, along with Head Technician, Eric Wooten’s (who ride's and races as well) attention to detail, you are guaranteed to get quality that is unsurpassed in this industry. We won’t sell you something you don’t need. Second best is not an option...

We take the time to talk with our customers to find out what they need, and make sure that they get exactly what they want, whether it’s at the local tracks, or amateur nationals our goal is to help anyone with technical questions and make sure your bike is set up correctly.

Thanks to our loyal customers Schmidt Performance has been going strong since 1998, our name has been circulating at all the local tracks, Amateur Nationals, Canadian Nationals, Supercross, Fire & Police Nationals. Our riders have earned Amateur National titles as well as many national top five finishes, and recently an X games gold Medal.

We try to help the racing industry by having better prices, quicker turn around times, guaranteed work and the one on one relationship that other shops don’t provide.
